The challenge
The previous crew had run electrical without a permit and set base cabinets over an unlevel floor. Everything had to be inspected, corrected, and brought to code before finish work could start.
What we walked into
The homeowners had paid two deposits and had nothing to show but an open kitchen. Base cabinets sat on a floor that was out of level by almost an inch over the run. The previous electrician had moved circuits with no permit pulled, which meant a resale problem waiting to happen.
What we did
We pulled a permit to legalize and inspect the existing electrical, leveled the floor with self-leveling compound, and reset the cabinets to a true plane. From there it was a straight finish sequence: counters templated and installed, backsplash, lighting, and appliance hookups.
The result
A fixed-price scope, a written schedule, and a kitchen that passed final inspection the first time. Total project landed at $48,000, in the middle of the mid-range band for a kitchen this size, with no surprise change orders.
